Live with Intention: The Journey Begins with Self-Discovery

Everything in this world can be replaced except: deeply ingrained memories, time, and lives.

Yet, as the days go by, technology advances and the various strategies on how to "upgrade" our life fill our feeds, ears, and minds we seem to avoid asking the following: What about our current life? Is it possible we are taking it for granted? Have we forgotten that our time here is limited?

Possibly. From jobs, to tending to our families and making time for friends. To moving our bodies, making time for self-care and remaining up to date with current news and culture it's not difficult to assume that our time would then be limited to—pause.

To stop, and ponder: "Am I on purpose?" or am I continuously focused on what's next? The truth is, only we can come to that conclusion about our own lives. The important thing to remember though, is to be truthful with ourselves.

If the ultimate answer to that question is no, then guess what? It is only the beginning. The permissin slip, the golden opportuity to make a change. To shift gears and decide: "I choose to live on purpose." because who knows, that decision might also become step one to unlocking your purpose. Best way to start? Asking why:

Why do we focus our mind and spend our time on worry rather hope? Doubt instead of action? Uncertainty instead of faith?

Faith in our beliefs, in our dreams and in our values. All in hopes to simultaneously catch us when we fall and mobilize us when we become afraid to take the next step.

Why have we become so deeply reliant on external factors and sources to dictate our direction? To provide us the answers to everything in our lives from how to do something all the way to what something means to us.

Most importantly — why have we given up?

Why have we self-abandoned and forgotten our most natural and strongest asset? The ability to reason. To evaluate and decide if we are connected to our daily experience or if we are are simply moving through the motions of it all?

By seeking to reconnect with our minds and our hearts, we then are taking the necessary steps to reconnect with our true selves. By asking these questions with courage stemmed from curiousity, we will have a real opportunity to seek and build a life from intention. The only condition?

It must begin from within.

It will be the only way that we can meet ourselves in our truest and simplest of forms. By stripping away the "should's" and replacing them with the "hows":

  • This is how I think.
  • This is how I process.
  • This is how I reason.
  • This is how I manage.
  • This is how I feel.
  • This is how I love.
  • This is how I am...

And if after taking the leap into self-discovery and come to find that we don't necessary connect with how we currently are? We then have the chance to ask ourselves, "Is this how I wish to continue to be?". If not, we then get to answer that question with, "This is how I wish elevate parts of me." or even more importantly, "This is how I will finally begin embracing and fortifying—me."

And really, that is the core of MSOL's message and purpose. To provide beautiful, and tangible representations of... you. The real you. The you that no longer is willing to dim the parts of her that seem or feel like "too much" or "not enough". The parts of you, that actually make you feel the most radiant, empowered, and at peace all at the same time. The parts of you that you are ready to embrace and invite to lead the way.

It is our hope to serve as encouragement and support on your journey from self-recognition to self-mastery. Because only then, will you discover the true and raw inner strength within. Only then will you feel ready to show up and walk through life in all of it's times. From good to bad and all its in betweens. Only then will you fully trust yourself to rise and stand in the face of adversity rather than seek comfort in avoidance.

Only then, will the path clear and reveal your unique purpose for your life.

Although, a final question remains for us all determined to embark on said journey, "Will we be prepared to answer the call?"

See, when and only when we have tapped into our true essence and embraced all that brings us closer to light — especally in the darkest of time the answer will always be yes.

Welcome to MSOL. Welcome to your becoming.
